Supporting Communities
ShareMyToolbox has made a long-term commitment to give back. We believe that all people are called to give graciously to help those around them. Whether that is through gifts of time, money or resources all of us should be giving.
In this spirit, we have committed to helping Habitat for Humanity chapters around the nation. Habitat chapters operate much like contracting companies and have lots of small tools and equipment that need to be tracked. Lost time and money from tools impact Habitat chapters, just like it would any other contractor. With this in mind, ShareMyToolbox has committed to providing a FREE system to any Habitat Chapters that are in need. By making the chapters more efficient we hope to indirectly help the communities they operate in.
As individuals and as companies; the more we give, the more we recognize how much has been given to us. Giving and serving are foundational for everyone.

Habitat Portland Metro East
Portland, OR
Habitat for Humanity Portland Metro East is using ShareMyToolbox to become more efficient. Portland Metro has built over 350 homes in partnership with local families. It is an active group with multiple projects operating at any given time. As such they have a large number of tools. Some tools are assigned to individual project leaders while others float from project to project as needed. ShareMyToolbox is providing a central inventory of all available tools. Whether the tools are on a job-site or in a remote trailer all are accounted for.
Greenstar Movement

Green Star Movement inspires students and community members through the creation of public art. This interactive process builds teamwork and self esteem in participants and revitalizes urban neighborhoods. Since our founding in 2005, Green Star Movement has provided more than 8,000 students with mural arts programming and successfully transformed the interiors and exteriors of over 90 public spaces, including schools, parks, community centers and underpasses. Our vision is to create public art throughout the world that connects youth and builds community.

MakeBHM is a non-profit that is providing tools, space, WiFi and coffee to the Birmingham community. By making power tools, training and space available to those who would normally not have access, MakeBHM is encouraging members of the community to build and create in new ways. Habitat of Orange County, CA is working towards a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Having built 177 local houses which serve 900 residents the chapter is taking concrete steps to make their community a better place to live.
